Sean my 951B is still stripped down apart from the backend tracks and main frame. I sold a moxy to a local tipper firm and they traded in the 951C with me for the truck. They had recently rebuilt her engine and fitted all new running gear..CAT too and salt chains !! when we got her we changed all the oils and fitted new batts. Did some odd jobs with her but we have been busy muck shifting. I have recently got the bug to get the old gear fixxed up and use them if i can. Work shortage has probably helped too. We will repaint this 951 in the old yellow but i am going to ride her tomorrow after a bit of lube on some stiff linkages and pedals.......cant wait. Drove her a quarter mile to the yard tonight from our store yard, that engine was roaring.....do i sound mad :D The boys want me to trim with her tomorrow to prove i can operate TRACKED SHOVALS I'll show em !! Bucket need new sides and a compaction edge, tomo's going to cut them from some 50D 12 mil plate. The compaction edge we have in stock.

Trax, you said earlyer that the engine was roaring coming up your lane that reminds me to take my ear defenders tomorow, whan i got home last saturday from my stint on the 951 i was deaf, and when i was layed out in bed that night all i could hear was the roar of 951's engine,it drove me insane:D

I used to wear them too, im pissed off as i didn't get my fix today, I did run the engine and lift the loader frame off the ground but i didn't even get the side sheets off to have a check over. One of my fitters was saying was i going to have a revving competition with the D6M that is in the yard, our plant manager was told i was going to push the D6 out the yard with the 951 as i parked it bucket to blade. That D6 would just spin its tracks, the modern tinny thing. Found a Fuel tank today 150 !!! not bad. The guy said it would need painting, i said the whole bloody tractor does so thats no problem. He is a bg fan of 955K and L shovels, he says they are the best ever made and not to bother with 77's or 83's as they have they own problems. Im going to free off the sticky pedal tomorrow and go and shift some soil and scrub.

Great result Trax, thanks for the heads up I had missed it.

A great bit of kit, if you get it oiled and painted I can guess where it will be going for a play day. :D

Even without the paint it will be well worth the trip IMHO, you will make a lot of guys very happy and envious with that machine.
