Yeh i had real trouble trying to get on here this eve i thought you had all buggered off while i was away lol! Then at about 11pm i managed to get on here, i drove back o Kent from Devon yesterday...

Yep seen a Jet Patch in action here in Kent, like you say a total waste of time and our money. It was being used by a contract company on a Sunday so you can bet your bottom dollar the council paid...

Well i can'tbelieve my luck i sprayed plus gas around the end cap last night, came back to it this evening and with the correct tool and 6 ft of scaffold bar it cracked open straight away no force...

No my locating lug holes are actually in the side of the cap whereas your ones in the pictures are in the actual end, I have this curved spanner that has a lug in the end which locates in the hole,...

The cap has two hole in the side of the rim rather than the end of the cap, i have the correct spanner with the pin in the end which fits perfectly so i guess a scaffold bar on it may make it budge,...

The main reason was as soon as you poured oil into the slew box it trickled back out where that dowl has been welded back in basically the metal dowel was non existant, i decided to take the bottom...

ok managed to take a few pics this evening, The tappered dowel is now welded in and new brass bush pressed in place the pictures show the two parts that sit in the bottom of the 3cx kingpost housing.
