Not that i know of. But did have a company try to charge me when a hydrostatic dumper had a sticky throttle and driver rolled it up a bank of earth. Bloody cheeky move i thought

lucky i caught that 'un!would've taken a hell of a panel beater after it had dropped 30ft down bank,then 60ft off retaining wall!

haha I might be daft.....but I ain't stupid!lol any 'self drive' oufit's gonna get their gear abused,got that new little 2.6t at the mo,no hardship to look round you,make sure it ain't gonna catch owt,get scratched,keep the grease gun handy n quick brush out/rub over controls/panels with damp cloth,but too many people's attitude,'not mine so ain't bothered!'thats how you make money,'site damage'!

Thank you for your comment Local Digger it does help. This really would be a rewarding job to the right person and you would have plenty to do. The guy we had was self employed and had been with us for many many years.

Out of intrest chris, would you consider taking on a sort of apprentice panel beater? I know a fella. He's got good workshop skills, knows his way around a machine and how to do simple mechanic work. And has done a bit of respraying/beating. He's also got his own tools. Used to be a work experince lad at glendennings before moving to a local firm as a apprentice.

He also can drive 360's and Telehandlers. Albeit no tickets.
