Default JCB 3cx Project 8 Jack Legs

Hi All, i am brand new to this forum and in fact new to construction equipment, other than tractors. I have just purchased a 95 JCB 3cx project 8, and i was hoping that someone on site here with more knowledge than me could adivse regarding the jack legs on this machine. Basically when the machine is jacked up and i am using the back actor the machine rocks quite a bit on the jacks themselves. I know the newer machines have replaceable bushes on the jacks, is there something that can be done for these earlier machines to tighten up the play? - Thanks JT

hi and welcome . you can weld wear strips onto the jacklegs to help take up play , it also pays not to jack the machine up to high , if on level ground you only need take the weight this will help it not to rock about

Nice one thanks for the reply, will keep the machine low for now and might attempt an intervention on the legs when i have a few tidy-up jobs done around the place.
No doubt i will be back with more questions as i get more familiar with the machine
