Post Kubota kx41-2v track motor

Hello for the 1st time,

have a track motor on my mini digger that seems to have given up the ghost!
removed the rubber track, motor turns ok until you put a bit of resistance on it with a pry bar or you foot even and stalls the motor
motor hub feels hot like its bypassin internal :-(
motor has no external leaks showning
digger had new hyd pump fitted 2mth ago 600

can you fit seal kits to these motors?
does any on know of any people that breaks this type of machine?
or is it another problem with the spool block or the centre slew mabe

Thanks for your help

Welcome aboard digdeep, you dont play on canals do you, only that is the name of one of the groups

Anyway, to your problem. I do believe cps or tc will be the men to answer you properly.
My limited knowledge on track motors is gained on line. I believe there will be 3 pipes to your motors. 1 for flow and 1 for return, which reverse flow for direction change and will be the same size. The 3rd pipe will be a case drain which returns leaking / bypassing oil back to tank rather than blowing the side out of the motor.
There is a small amount of oil allowable through this 3rd pipe, if you have a lot, then the motor is in need of some tlc or a big hammer

Whether they are resealable, rebuildable or throw away able I honestly dont know.
I have no knowledge of this company and only give it for information / investigation, enquiry purposes http://finaldrives.co.uk/

Surely both motors would play up if the machine was stuck in two speed?

I know what you mean about the 41-3 not liking turning in higher speed but then again nor do my track dumpers!!

Does your 8018 have auto kick down?? If so then it most likely turns off the high speed when you turn and then kicks down into higher speed again, hence its ability to turn in high speed mode.

In my opinion the 2 speed tracking was-low speed for traveling over rough ground dozing and general dutys and the higher speed was just for covering ground in a straight line say from one end of a site to another, same rules on the older track loaders
