Re: Engcon Big Dig Day - Saturday 3rd March 2018
So...who’s going?.....
Also, wondering if the day will be affected by the current weather situation? Can you confirm anything, Robert?

Might still be going now... depends if a job gets cancelled or not.
FYI Druid, it's not tree's... 9mtr rock face is one job, a load of bogland work is another. Neither can be done if the weather turns worse, but neither can really be put on hold again.

Everything's still on
We've had some snow, but it's just melting away - the forecast for Saturday is the same (just above zero). Curiously, I live about twenty clicks east of Druid on the hills above Ross and we've had virtually nothing there either so I think we should be OK. I'll give you an update of Friday evening.
Just started assembling the diggers this morning, food's all organised for a cast of thousands.
Parking on the site is limited to around 20 cars, but we've overflow in the railway station across the road (3 mins walk).
We've also installed the coffee machine down in the workshop and parts area so those of you that want to come and talk to Jamie and Tim about installation, servicing and so on will be able to get a brew.
I've been asked about children. Originally I hadn't planned for this but we've arranged to fence the digging area off so it will be child-friendly for those of you that want to bring the family. Both Tewkesbury and Cheltenham are pretty places so you could plan concurrent activity (beginning to sound like the local tourist office ). We haven't got a creche, though, so you'll need a responsible adult to look after things while you're digging.
Oh, and prize draw, show offers etc. Anything I've missed?
regards
Robert

it's the three days in between you need to look at the forecast for Robert
Gonna go turn the 'Drema around, blade first and get me 7ft bucket on shortly.
The inch we had yesterday'd all but gone by the time I got back from Caerrrrrdiff, only to be replaced with a fresh lot this morning and still doing its best
As for that last bit ..... what's the ' currency of the day'? Mars bars or KitKats and do I need to bring a trailer ??

" Keep your panty hose on " Rory .... I forgot the smiley face
should've realised when you said you were abseiling .... would've needed to be up a tree first to abseil back down
PS
anyone recognise the quote for ten points ........ (and no Googling)
