800CLC,

The pictures you posted are very sharp, what camera are you using?

I can't recall the one I used for that might have been my wife's Canon, I also posted my pictures via photobucket as the uploader thing was on the fritz again.

Just a quick update more related to wheeldiggers than work. Thanks to Richard for the help in trying to acquire a manual and apologies for not talking sooner but my phone dislikes the pm system. I have now got a photocopyed manual from another Richard. But thanks for the help and apologies for not talking sooner.

So Rory I was talking to my friend, well texting him actually. And was asking him what problems the machine was having other than a leaky rear valve bank, and he said it seems as though the pump might need some repair he said it's likely a rotary vane pump is that what your machine has in it? And are they difficult to fix? We've been talking about fixing it up I myself prefer an excavator or even a duck but his dad has this thing sitting around not making any money and already has rebuilt the engine might as well make it earn it's keep if we can as he'll probably never get anything for it on the used market.

I expect it's a gearpump. That's what mine has in it. But I could be wrong.

Be a nice machine to get working Bert and I certainly think it'd earn its keep. You have everything on that 655c that a modern backhoe has. Except mabey creature comforts and higher flow hydraulics.

Another good bit of news is I also have a drawbar for the 655 given to me by my first boss, with the saying. "what would you want that for...." its abit heath Robinson but will give a good template for a V2

Yeah I thought it would be a gear pump too, but I guess I'll know better when we take it apart. You'll have to post some more pictures of your machine Rory I'd like to see if your backhoe is that same style as my friend's.

The backactor is the same and so I believe is the drivetrain. Main difference is the cab, loader and of course I have sideshift.
