I normally charge 60.00 per hour but that's from base and back if that helps

John try Keeley Transport 01628 822118.
If they have a load going into kent it will help bring the price down.
You'll be looking at around 900 i would say.

There are back load agencies they can be found in the Truck magazines or on the internet.

I use R M Page (Plantspeed), who are on a regular visit to Hull docks for me to collect new Doosan machines, they could perhaps take your machine up then bring my machines back to my yard in Aldermaston, Berkshire.
May save you a good few quid ?
PM if you need a contact name and number.

Glinton gives you a good tip and one I would imagine hard to beat depending on how greedy the transport manager is, some wont see it as a backload and want full wack . I would also try the big companies that run south from Scotland that could be looking for a back load.
I know Oakes who I used to work for have a job up in Cheshire somewhere and although wrong side of the country may be worth a call as the lowloaders will be going up empty to bring equipment back at some stage.

You've just missed the latest Euro auction and sure as hell there were plenty of trucks running back north empty after dropping the sales machine around the country.

H C Wilsons, Cadzcow, West of Scotland Haulage, all must be worth the price of a phone call.
